Pre-Congress Symposia for Doctors and Nurses in Urology
Auditorium of College of Surgeons of Sri Lanka, Colombo
The much look forward to annual workshop for Urology doctors and nurses will
be the event opener for this year’s annual sessions. It will go on boards at the
College of Surgeons in Colombo on the 8th November 2024.
Essential knowledge updates on excellent patient management and equipment care
will be taken up for discussion with the participation of the clinicians and
medical equipment industry partners. Early registration advised as it usually
runs to packed houses year after year.

Minimally Invasive Stone Surgery workshop
Asiri Surgical Hospital, Colombo
The much-awaited Asian School of Urology moderated upper tract stone surgery workshop is planned for the whole day on 11th November 2024 at the sprawling operating theatre complex of the Asiri Surgical Hospital in Colombo. Attendees are in for an urology treat with regional giants in the field displaying the fundamental principles and trade secrets that makes the operation a fine art. The ensuing discussion will be carried forward to a series of short didactic lectures by ASU in the theoretical basis of the science in the early evening.

Laparoscopic and Reconstructive Live Surgery Workshop
Asiri Surgical Hospital, Colombo
State of the art laparoscopic and reconstructive live surgery workshop on
12th November 2024 will be the second of the two such live surgery sessions
prior to the main congress. It will showcase internationally renowned experts
taking on a variety of laproscopic and reconstructive urology cases to
demonstrate the finer points in surgery. An expert panel would moderate the
sessions from the auditorium and the operating rooms as it happens. In order to
maximise utilisation of time, surgeries would be performed in tandem with dual
screen live streaming. Even the seasoned lap surgeons will have a wonderful
learning experience.

Urology Trainees Day
Meet the Trainers Day is a splendid opportunity for urology residents to have
an informal and frank discussion on topics relevant to training inside and
outside work. It is a rare occasion when trainees are meeting the national and
overseas trainers together under the same roof.
The interaction happening in the luxurious precincts of the Sri Lanka College of
Surgeons council room adds a sense of grandeur to the meeting.
